Sidney Stein, founder of S. Stein & Company, began his career in the office furniture industry as a cabinet maker in Chicago. He opened his first furniture store at Ogden and Paulina in 1930 with just 22,000 square feet of space, then moving downtown to

Three Generations

The company now spans the third generation of Steins, and has evolved from a "desk, chair, and file" store, to a full-service dealership encompassing all facets of office design and furnishings, operating out of 275,000 square feet of showrooms, warehouse, and production space.
